Brooke was born & raised in Brooklyn NY. Her family's background hailed in the island of St. Lucia. Her love for dance began at an early age, where she was exposed to dance, music and her Caribbean culture. Brooke has been dancing since she has been able to walk. Her passion for dance became clear during her middle school days where she began to take dance classes on a personal level. After middle school Brooke left NY and went to Central NJ in 2006. With this drastic change Brooke strayed away from dance but her passion rose again during her Junior year in High School. She joined her High School dance program along with being active in sports such as track, and gymnastics. After graduating in 2010 , Brooke went on to Raritan Valley Community College and began training again on a larger scale. Her main focus was ballet, jazz and modern dance. She taught herself Caribbean dances by studying Youtube. Brooke double majored in Dance and Liberal Arts. In January of 2018, she auditioned and was offered the opportunity to become a Dance Instructor with Soca Tworkout Fitness. Dance has always been apart of Brooke's life and has always been her way of self expression.
Beatrice (a.k.a Bea) is a NJ native of Haitian ancestry whose love and enthusiasm for dance and culture presented itself at a young age. Beatrice’s dance journey formally began in high school with the Multipot Dance Company of Irvington High School. There, she was exposed to West African Dance and a variety of dances from the African Diaspora (Soca, Haitian Folklore, Swing, Hip-Hop, Dancehall and etc.). Beatrice went on to dance with the West Indian Student Organization (WISO) Dance Troupe at Rutgers University for 4 years. In 2013, Beatrice began studying Haitian Folkloric Dance under Peniel Guerrier and was presented with opportunities to perform with renowned musical artists and to train internationally. Throughout the years, her appreciation for dances of the African Diaspora and how it is represented has deepened. It is Beatrice’s desire to not only use dance as a means to facilitate fitness goals, but also to share that love and positive energy with Soca Tworkout Fitness Divas.
